 Stars and talent alone does not win you games.Its all about teamwork.That's why I love football.France, with top quality players like Zidane, Henry, Trezeguet and Viera, still can't beat South Korea. Brazil, should have won with a landslide against Croatia and Australia with their extraordinary wealth of talent, but achieved just an ordinary result.Because they lack teamwork.People may say that England is the most overrated team in the world cup.But if we look at the results, should we beg to differ? What about Czech Republic?The team stands at number two in the Fifa rankings but they went down to a team 42 places below them.People who is a true fan or a close follower of Brazil will know that Brazil played way below par in their 2 games.But that's football.Sometimes your always at the top, it doesn't mean that u'll stay top forever. Just look at France. They won a world cup in 98, won euro cup in 2000 but knocked out in the 2002 world cup in the first round without even scoring a goal.Unbelievable?But it had happened.That's football.Fortune is as round as the ball... Why am I an England fan?England has never won anything and is always dissapointing.Most of you would probably say its b'coz of David Beckham. Although i really am a fan of Becks, but its not the reason. I'm not the kind of person that supports a team just because they're the best or whether they have good looking players.I support a team because I just love them. I've supported England since the days of Gary Lineker and Paul Gascoigne.Are there any handsome players in the team?None in my opinion bcoz that's not the reason on why I like a team.I supported Becks not bcoz he is good looking but its bcoz of his team spirit and wonderful crosses and free kicks. He is the heart of England not bcoz he is the best, but because of his passion for England football. The reason I'm writing a long comment about football is because since the World Cup started lots of people talk about football like they've been following football for a long time.Don't question me why don't I support Brazil and why do I like a pathetic team like England?They never played good.. Well this is what I wanted to ask to all England sceptics.. Have you watched each of England's matches for the past years until now?No?Then how do you know they're a bad team? Have you watched each of Brazil's game for the past years until now?No?Then how do you know that they always play magnificently? Frankly speaking, England had not been playing so well bcoz some players lack heart and Sven's tactic is simply too weird for England sometimes.England would do better with Steve Mclaren. He has a better understanding of English football. Some of may put aside the importance of managers. But they are extremely important. Chelsea would'nt do well under Ranieri but shone went they are under Mourinho. Why does every team that Hiddink manages are able to go at least up until the semi finals?Its because he's that good.Managers gel players. I have nothing against Brazil. Ronaldinho is a great player. No doubt about it. But just try and watch other players as well. Like Henry, Totti, Ballack, Robben. They are also in a class of their own.Pele even said once that Totti is a better player than Ronaldinho.Different person has different views. Just don't underestimate other people's choices...If you're footie mad and has watched every single player and every single club and team play, then you have the right...Be my guest. To fans of underdogs like Togo, TNT, Ghana, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Croatia, Australia, Japan, S.Korea, Paraguay, Ecuador, Switzerland, Ivory Coast etc..I salute all of you for being such great football fans. Winning is difficult for these teams but you still support 'em no matter what. That, ladies and gentlemen is what football is about. By the way. Tomorrow I'm chaperoning my students for a field trip to KL.Why in all places I don't know, aku ikut je.... Actually today I'm in a miserable mood, sbb tu bnyk ngarut.Thank you for reading anyway....=) So I'm off to curl into a ball, drown my sorrows and hope that tomorrow is going to be a better day....Wish me luck!
